At the risk of waxing on and on about the many delightful days we stayed at Florecer Casitas, I would simply like to say that from the moment the big pink doors swung open and our travel weary bodies stepped into a garden courtyard, I knew we were home away from home. Liz Mapelli must be a seasoned traveler, how else would she know what the senses desire. Six casitas, each one charming, each one private, each one beautifully, artistically and immaculately appointed and equipped. And if there is anything you need, Liz will appear with a brilliant smile and flashing blue eyes to assist you. As the day wanes, whir up a Margarita and make your way up to the rooftop to watch the sun set over Guanajuato. Call it a day, sink into a luxurious bed, dream sweet dreams, and then do it all over again tomorrow.

Beautiful and extremely comfortable setting and ideal location. Liz could not have been more informative, from places to eat to transportation, and even where to mail a package. She was always ready with whatever we needed, from the smallest things like extra soap to some emergency medical advice including a blood pressure monitor and doctor referral. The casita is a wonderful setting, attractively furnished with a wonderful bed, and it is insulated from the sometimes raucous environs of the city, yet it gives you an excellent view...and you can walk outside the gate and be immersed quickly in the city. Because my cab driver could not find the address, Liz came down to fetch me at a hotel nearby and we drove back to the complex together. She personally got me settled and gave me all the specific information about the apartment's features. The suite, #2, was very spacious with a nice patio, loads of great lighting and artwork and all the comforts and necessities of home. We particularly liked the beds with mattress heaters and the fact that there was plenty of hot water and loads of electrical outlets. George, Liz', partner, took us on a walking tour of the town, introduced us to some interesting people and recommended several restaurants and cafes. We were also able to visit Liz' art studio and see her work. Both Liz and George treated us like guests in their own home. The complex has a lovely garden, is well located up Calzada de Guadalupe, above the famous 'University Steps' and has easy taxi or bus access. The apartment was sleek and beautifully decorated with all the modern conveniences. Lydia
“Although I can't say I've had that many Airbnb experiences, this one was without question the best I've had. The property is simply stunning. It's a peaceful, stylish oasis. The location provides incredible vistas of the city from the roof. The rooms are stylishly decorated and spotlessly clean. The best part, however, has to be the host, Liz. She couldn't have been more hospitable and accommodating. She even invited me to have Thanksgiving dinner with her and some friends. I really can't say enough nice things about her. This is a perfect spot for anyone interested in exploring Guanajuato. As I was there for six weeks, I would also highly recommend this property for long term rentals. Look no further, you've found "the place". Thanks Liz!” Peter
