We have created a unique environment at Florecer Casitas that mirrors the environment of Guanajuato. We offer the independent traveler, a safe refuge in an exquisite walled garden setting in which to relax and enjoy the creative energy of Guanajuato and it's surrounding communities. We are located on a hillside above the city, ten minutes walking to the city center, restaurants, museums, Spanish schools, and more. There is regular bus transportation into town and back and easy taxi or Uber accessibility as well.

Each casita is furnished with original art, modern and fully equipped kitchens and baths, individual internet routers, gas fireplaces or heaters, comfortable beds with memory foam toppers, cotton sheets and down duvets, outdoor sitting areas, and privacy. We have three casitas without stairs and we are perfect for groups and adult family reunions.
We provide unlimited hot water, extra towels, yoga mats, laundry facilities for the use of guests, and a small gallery and shop. Other available services include on-site massage, guided local tours, housekeeping services, and limited on street parking. Let us know how you will be arriving, by car, by bus or by air. Check-in time is between 3pm and 6pm. Sorry, no exceptions. Check-out time is by 12 noon the day of departure. Newly built and furnished, Florecer Casitas are pristine, uncluttered, and relaxing.
Meet the Owner
For most of my career life, I designed and installed large scale glasswork for municipalities and corporations, individual artworks, walls, floors and ceilings. I was based in Portland, Oregon. When I moved to Mexico full time, I decided to focus on printmaking and now have a studio where I work most days.
I collect Mexican crafts and often visit artists in their studios, usually located in small villages in different parts of Mexico. I am an avid cook and like to garden, so we often have organic greens and herbs available for guests. If I am not here in Mexico, I am exploring other parts of the world. My name is Liz.

LocationWe are located on a hillside above the city, ten minutes walking to the city center, restaurants, museums, Spanish schools, and more. There is regular bus transportation into town and back, every 15 minutes, and easy taxi accessibility as well. We will send you the address once you book your resevation with us.
